Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.
The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.
The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
Responsibilities
Application & Workflow Development
Design, develop, and deploy applications, workflows, forms, and business rules using OpenText AppWorks.
Build and maintain case management solutions and low code applications.
Implement workflow automation to streamline business processes.
Integration
Integrate AppWorks applications with external enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
Connect AppWorks solutions with Content Server, directory services (OTDS/LDAP/AD), and other OpenText products.
Testing, Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization of AppWorks applications.
Troubleshoot system issues and ensure application stability.
Support deployment of releases, patches, and hotfixes.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and operational guidelines.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews.
Reporting & Dashboarding
Build dashboards, reports, and data analytics interfaces for case and workflow insights.
Skills
Must have
Technical Skills
2–5+ years of hands-on OpenText AppWorks development experience
Strong knowledge of:
BPM and workflow design
Case management
AppWorks entities, data models, and form builders
Integration via SOAP/REST APIs
JavaScript, XML, XSLT, JSON, SQL
Core Java
Familiarity with:
OpenText Content Server
OTDS (Directory Services)
Soft Skills
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.
Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
Education
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
Nice to have
OpenText AppWorks certification.
Experience with Documentum, Content Server, Archive Center or other OpenText products.
