Why does this job exist and why is it critical?​

What are you accountable for?

• To manage the monthly closing activity for government grant capex & opex reporting, and analyse the fluctuation of the government grant capex & opex.
• To work with stakeholders, gather inputs to prepare monthly analysis for management review.
• This includes receivable from government grant, unclaimed spending ageing and progress analysis, financial targets result, etc.
• Work with stakeholders in claims & collections forecast on the targets setting for the year,
• monitor progress, highlight and work on deviations wherever necessary.
• Organize government grant meetings bi-monthly basis and provide financial analysis to the stakeholders and management.
• Review and enhance financial policies, procedures and processes to improve efficiency and enhancing control where necessary.
• To provide financial advice/input and support stakeholder on all financial related queries on government grant
• Report timely and accurate month end and year end financial reports, e.g. tax schedules, audit schedules and annual statutory financial statement
• Prepare audited income & expenses for government grant projects as requested by regulatory body on yearly basis
• Support Head of Technology Finance (Accounting) to create and drive initiatives to optimize working capital of the Group including but not limited to improving collection from government.
• Any other task assigned by the reporting manager.
   

What do you need to have for this role?

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Diploma / Professional
• Qualification in Finance / Accounting or equivalent
• Possess at least 5 years of relevant work experience in Audit / Financial Reporting and Planning.
