The incumbent is responsible to support Manager and Head of Finance Modernisation to drive finance modernisation agenda and initiatives across different Finance functions to ensure an efficient and sustainable Finance processes in the long run by leveraging on various tools for automation and process improvement.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the manager in designing, developing, and implementing solution within Finance functions by using tools such as PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate, Alteryx, Power Query etc.
Analyse financial data, developing financial models, creating interactive financial reports to provide insightful information to management.
Support the identification and management of Future Finance Programme (FFP) initiatives based on the agreed roadmap.
Assist to co-ordinate the activities within Finance functions to identify system and processes to be enhanced and recommend appropriate actions for management consideration.
Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate and ensure that the solution implemented meets the specific needs and requirement of its intended users before its official release.
Support project/initiative planning and ensure the execution of tasks are delivered on a timely manner.
Proactively report any concerns or unresolved issues that may lead to project delays to the manager.
Support the development of dashboard to capture the effort and work done on Finance Modernisation for management review.
Work together across various disciplines and Finance functions, including IT, Operations and Actuarial, to drive system and process improvement that will enable Finance to scale and improve in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Assist process owners implement and comply to the signed-off process and controls and ensure any changes are made in line with the governance in place.
Assist in building capabilities within the Finance functions to enhance and improve systems, processes, and controls, pre and post implementation.
Provide regular update and knowledge sharing on latest tools and technology to stakeholders.
Collaborate with manager to identify areas require upskilling and achieve performance objectives.
Be adaptable and responsive to change management initiatives and ad hoc tasks.
Assist other Finance team on BAU activity as and when required.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Degree in Finance related discipline (Finance/Accounting, Economics, Mathematics/ Statistics, Actuarial Science, IT) or Professional qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
Preferably candidates with 1-2 years of experience in the life insurance industry or audit background.
Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Ability to work with diverse personalities across various disciplines, cultures, and business practices inherent to an international organisation.
A team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and under pressure.
Result oriented with a sense of urgency to follow up with project-related matters to resolution.
Able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
Proficient in using Microsoft Tools (Excel, Words, PowerApps, PowerBi)
