Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (SG Entities)
<ul>
<li>Process invoices, verify supporting documents (DO/PO/PV/edit lists), and ensure accurate and timely payments.</li>
<li>Maintain and update the cashbook, prepare weekly payment listings, and monitor cash outflow.</li>
<li>Ensure routine, intercompany, and statutory payments (e.g. WHT, taxes) are processed on time.</li>
<li>Track and control expenses, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and within budget.</li>
<li>Ensure sufficient funds are available for payments and that all intercompany invoices are captured.</li>
<li>Upload payment advices, send to vendors and staff, and maintain proper filing in shared drives.</li>
<li>Use correct chart of accounts (COA), tax codes, and dimensions for all entries.</li>
<li>Generate and update the month-end accounts payable aging report with relevant notes.</li>
<li>Maintain vendor relationships and resolve any payment-related issues.</li>
</ul>
General Ledger &amp; Financial Reporting (SG Group of Entities)
<ul>
<li>Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.</li>
<li>Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, provisions, and reversals.</li>
<li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with accounting standards.</li>
<li>Reconcile bank accounts, vendor and customer ledgers, and intercompany balances.</li>
<li>Conduct variance analysis and explain fluctuations in account balances.</li>
<li>Prepare intercompany balance matrix and update notes to accounts regularly.</li>
<li>Verify that financial transactions are recorded accurately with correct dimensions.</li>
<li>Support the month-end and year-end closing process for multiple entities.</li>
</ul>
Taxation &amp; Compliance
<ul>
<li>Conduct first-level reviews on VAT, withholding tax and corporate income tax.</li>
<li>Liaise with the Tax Manager on compliance and reporting requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and documentation.</li>
</ul>
Audit Support
<ul>
<li>Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for external audits.</li>
<li>Address auditor queries, ensure proper documentation, and implement required adjustments.</li>
