About the role

The Product Engineer is responsible for ensuring precise product detailing, providing technical solutions, and executing CAD modeling for efficient manufacturing and installation. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in CAD software to support product development and production processes.

What you’ll be doing

Project Detailing & Documentation

• Prepare and issue Production Orders for typical, mock-up, and show units
• Verify and ensure accuracy of FCF information by coordinating with sales, designers, and site supervisors
• Generate cut lists, technical drawings, packing lists, and CAD/CAM (CV) files for automated production
• Conduct vendor site visits when required

Technical Solutions & Inquiries

• Review and interpret technical inquiries, ensuring alignment with customer requirements
• Assist in sourcing new/special materials and fittings to enhance product development
• Review, evaluate, and refine prototypes based on performance and feasibility
• Provide technical solutions and guidance to resolve design and manufacturing challenges

Building Modules in DesignCAD

• Study modules and material specifications for each project
• Input material data into the DesignCAD library
• Build components, carcasses, and door panels in DesignCAD
• Develop modules in DesignCAD before creating the final layout
• Assist the team leader in implementing DesignCAD procedures

Job Requirements

What We're Looking For

• Degree or Diploma in Industrial Designer or Engineering in any field or equivalent
• Experience in customized furniture industry will be added advantage
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Excel
• Able to work under tight schedule & high accuracy environment
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills
• Good communication skills, oral and written
