We're looking for a Senior Strategist who can connect research, consumer insights, business objectives, and creative thinking to develop strategies that move projects forward.

You'll work across client accounts, campaigns, pitches, and brand projects, partnering with clients and internal teams to shape positioning, messaging, campaign direction, and strategic recommendations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys asking the right questions, making sense of information, building strong narratives, and turning complex insights into ideas people can act on.

Location & Ways of Working

This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

We operate on a hybrid working arrangement, combining office collaboration with work-from-home flexibility.

The role involves close collaboration with clients and internal teams, particularly during strategy development, workshops, presentations, and key project milestones.

Some days you'll be digging into market research. Other days you'll be developing a brand positioning, building a pitch narrative, presenting strategic recommendations, or working with creatives to translate an insight into a campaign idea.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop strategic direction

• Develop brand and campaign strategies based on business objectives, audience insights, and market opportunities.
• Translate research and insights into clear strategic recommendations.
• Develop positioning, messaging frameworks, and tone of voice where relevant.
• Help define the strategic direction for campaigns, brands, and marketing initiatives.

Research and uncover insights

• Conduct market and competitor research to understand trends, opportunities, and challenges.
• Analyse consumer behaviour, audience needs, and relevant industry developments.
• Conduct brand audits to identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Bring relevant market and consumer insights into strategic discussions.

Shape pitches and proposals

• Lead the strategic development of pitch proposals and presentation decks.
• Develop compelling strategic narratives that respond to client objectives.
• Work with creative and account teams to turn strategic thinking into strong pitch concepts.
• Present strategic recommendations and ideas clearly and confidently.

Translate strategy into creative direction

• Develop clear creative briefs based on strategic objectives and audience insights.
• Work closely with creative teams to ensure ideas are grounded in the strategic direction.
• Provide strategic input throughout campaign development and execution.
• Ensure messaging and content remain aligned with the agreed strategy.

Develop strategic content

• Contribute strategic thinking and content across pitch decks, websites, social media, digital campaigns, and other brand materials.
• Develop messaging and narratives that are relevant to the target audience and campaign objectives.
• Ensure strategic consistency across different channels and touchpoints.

Collaborate with clients and teams

• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business challenges and objectives.
• Present strategies, insights, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions that help align teams around strategic direction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behaviour, and emerging opportunities.

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in strategy, brand consulting, marketing, advertising, or a related role.
• Proven experience developing strategic proposals, brand strategies, campaign strategies, or go-to-market plans.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to translate data, research, and insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong understanding of branding, marketing, and consumer behaviour.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and drive projects from strategy through to execution.
• Comfortable presenting strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment is an advantage.
