The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant / Finance Executive to join our lean and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and wants to develop not just “accounting tasks” but accounting systems, processes, and financial discipline for a scaling company.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and maintain full sets of accounts including AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing
  • Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries using QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
  • Track revenues and expenses tied to guest bookings, vendor payments, property commissions, and operational costs
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for management covering profitability, cash flow, and budget performance
  • Coordinate with operations and guest experience team to reconcile guest charges (e.g., late checkout charges, damages, cleaning fees)
  • Monitor and manage budgets, assist in forecasting and cash-flow planning
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external statutory requirements
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives to build more efficient finance workflows as the company scales

Job Requirements

 What We’re Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, ideally in hospitality, property, or service-based industries
  • Strong foundation in financial reporting, budgeting, and general accounting principles
  • Proven ability to analyse financial data and prepare structured reports for management
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred), plus strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Familiar with compliance, tax, and statutory requirements in Malaysia
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and deadlines
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills — able to prioritise across multiple tasks
  • Analytical problem solver who can identify issues, propose solutions, and improve systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA / ACCA / similar certification is a plus)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing company where responsibilities expand as the business scales
