This hybrid role blends&nbsp;50% traditional System Administration&nbsp;responsibilities with&nbsp;50% automation engineering, focusing on improving operational efficiency, security posture, and scalability through tools like&nbsp;Chef, Ansible, and Terraform. <div align="center"><hr align="center" size="2" width="772"></div> Key Responsibilities: System &amp; Security Administration (50%) <ul type="disc"> <li>Perform system hardening and enforce security baselines across Linux/Windows environments.</li> <li>Manage user lifecycle operations (creation, modification, deactivation) in compliance with access control policies.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues across on-prem and cloud environments.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with internal security standards and external regulations.</li> </ul> Automation &amp; Infrastructure as Code (50%) <ul type="disc"> <li>Design and implement automation for repetitive sysadmin and security tasks using&nbsp;Chef, Ansible, or Terraform.</li> <li>Build reusable playbooks/modules for provisioning, configuration management, and compliance enforcement.</li> <li>Develop scripts and pipelines to assess and report the impact of automation changes.</li> <li>Maintain version control and documentation for all automation assets.</li> </ul> Incident Management &amp; Root Cause Analysis <ul type="disc"> <li>Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership during incidents, with a proactive attitude to&nbsp;dig deep and identify root causes.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive permanent fixes and prevent recurrence.</li> <li>Document findings and contribute to knowledge bases and post-incident reviews.</li> </ul> Cross-Functional Collaboration <ul type="disc"> <li>Work closely with Security, DevOps, and Application teams to ensure seamless integration of automation into existing workflows.</li> <li>Proactively follow through on tasks and projects, ensuring no gaps in execution or communication.</li> <li>Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and drive initiatives to completion.</li> </ul> <div align="center"><hr align="center" size="2" width="772"></div> Required Skills &amp; Qualifications: <ul type="disc"> <li>3+ years of experience in System Administration (Linux/Windows).</li> <li>2+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform).</li> <li>Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).</li> <li>Solid understanding of security best practices and system hardening techniques.</li> <li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li> <li>Proven ability to take ownership, drive root cause analysis, and follow through on complex issues.</li> </ul> <div align="center"><hr align="center" size="2" width="772"></div> Preferred Qualifications: <ul type="disc"> <li>Experience as 5 years in Sys Ops or Sec Ops .</li> <li>Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001).</li> <li>Expertise in one of automation tool (Chef/TEM/Ansible).</li> </ul> <div align="center"><hr align="center" size="2" width="772"></div> <h2>Be a part of UOB Family</h2> UOB is an equal opportunity employer.
