Job Roles

The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the screen printing process within the manufacturing line. This role ensures production efficiency, process stability, and consistent product quality while driving continuous improvement and resolving process-related issues. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in screen printing operations and an analytical approach to problem-solving in a high-mix, high-precision manufacturing environment.

  •  Lead and manage daily production activities related to the screen printing process to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot screen printing machines (e.g. DEK, EKRA, or MPM systems).
  • Monitor critical process parameters such as squeegee pressure, print speed, alignment accuracy, paste viscosity, and mesh tension.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, and control plans.
  • Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective/preventive actions using problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, PDCA, DMAIC).
  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to stabilize and improve screen printing yield and cycle time.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) through process validation, DOE, and machine capability studies.
  • Improve process capability (Cpk) and reduce scrap, rework, and line downtime.
  • Conduct training for operators and line leaders to ensure process compliance and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Lean, 5S) and cost reduction activities 

Job Requirements

 <Requirements>
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
• Min. 2 years of relevant working experience in screen printing process within manufacturing environment

<Advantageous>
• Experience with screen printing equipment and process optimization.
• Knowledge of SMT, hybrid circuits, substrate printing, or thick film printing is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA methodologies.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measuring tools.
• Knowledge of DOE (Design of Experiments) and data analysis tools (Minitab is an added advantage).
