Job Description

1. Full Set Accounting

• Handle and review full set accounts (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, journals).
• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Produce accurate financial reports for management review.
• Monitor company cash flow, credit control, and payment cycles.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Provide insights to improve profitability, cost management, and operational efficiency.

3. Taxation & Compliance

• Manage SST submissions, tax computation, and liaison with external tax agents.
• Ensure compliance with LHDN, SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, Companies Act, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.

4. Internal Controls & Processes

• Strengthen internal financial controls, SOPs, and documentation practices.
• Review and improve financial workflows (procurement-to-payment, invoicing, inventory reconciliation, etc.).
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and filing systems.

5. Inventory & Costing

• Oversee stock movement, inventory reconciliation, and costing accuracy.
• Coordinate with showroom, warehouse, and operations teams on stock verification.
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

6. Banking & Treasury

• Manage banking facilities, loan documentation, HP agreements, and payment schedules.
• Prepare payment vouchers, online banking transactions, and supplier disbursements.
• Maintain supplier accounts and negotiate credit terms when needed.

7. Leadership & Collaboration

• Guide junior accounting staff and ensure accurate task execution.
• Work closely with management on financial strategy and operational decisions.
• Support cross-department collaboration (sales, operations, procurement).

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail, trading, or interior/furniture industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of Malaysia accounting standards, SST, payroll, and compliance.
• Proficient in accounting software (SQL/AutoCount/Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments.
• Experience in handling full sets accounts with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to communicate, read and write in Mandarin
