Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the bank’s day-to-day operational and documentation activities by ensuring accurate processing, verification, and maintenance of banking transactions and records in compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and service quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Support
  • Process daily banking transactions including account opening, fund transfers, remittances, deposits, and withdrawals in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure proper authorization and verification of all operational activities in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in end-of-day reconciliation, balancing, and reporting activities.
  • Monitor operational workflows to ensure efficiency and compliance with service-level timelines.
     
  1. Documentation Management
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain all operational and customer-related documentation (e.g., account forms, loan documents, trade finance papers).
  • Ensure all documents are complete, valid, and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper filing, indexing, and archiving of physical and digital documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
  • Liaise with relevant departments (Compliance, Legal, Credit, etc.) for document verification and approval.
     
  1. Compliance and Risk Management
  • Adhere strictly to the bank’s internal controls, compliance policies, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., AMLA, BNM, and internal audit standards).
  • Report any discrepancies, irregularities, or operational risks to the superior immediately.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing relevant documentation and clarification.
     
  1. Customer Service
  • Deliver prompt and professional service to both internal and external customers.
  • Handle customer documentation queries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement in operations and documentation handling.
     
  1. Other Duties
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements related to operations and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
     

Job Requirements

Job Qualification

  1. Recognized Degree in Banking / Business Studies / Accounting / Economic / Public Administration or equivalent and obtained at least:

a) CGPA 3.00 & above (Accounting & Finance).

b) CGPA 3.25 & above (related to Banking / Islamic Banking).

  1. Excellent written & interpersonal communication skills.
