Bee Chun Heng Foodstuff Sdn Bhd is a well-established food manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence. We are seeking a Waste Water Treatment Executive to manage and operate the company’s Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) / Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP).
Waste Water Treatment Executive:
This role ensures that all treated effluent meets environmental standards while maintaining safe, hygienic, and compliant operations in line with regulatory and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) / Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) on a daily basis.
- Ensure treated effluent meets local pollution control board / environmental authority standards.
- Monitor and record key parameters such as pH, BOD, COD, TSS, oil & grease.
- Handle biological, chemical, and physical treatment processes.
- Maintain proper dosing of chemicals and biological cultures.
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance of pumps, blowers, aerators, filters, and pipelines.
- Maintain logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, and Environment/Health/Safety teams.
- Manage sludge handling, dewatering, storage, and disposal as per regulations.
- Assist during environmental audits, inspections, and statutory reporting.
- Ensure safety, hygiene, and GMP compliance within the treatment area.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- DOE recognized Competent Person Certification such as IETS (Industrial Effluent Treatment System) Biological & Physical Chemical Process (BP & PCP) or similar is highly preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations related to water and wastewater management.
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes (physical, chemical, and biological).
- Understanding of environmental regulations and discharge standards.
- Ability to communication in Mandarin (required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking vendors)
