Job Description

 Responsibilities: 

• Monitor security consoles and alerts (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Perform initial triage of security alerts (validity, severity).
• Follow procedures for initial investigation and categorization.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior analysts.
• Document all actions in ticketing systems.
• Assist senior analysts in proactive threat hunting.
• Learn to identify potential threats and anomalies.
• Help collect and organize vulnerability scan data.
• Assist in initial vulnerability assessment and prioritization.
• Support tracking and remediation efforts.
• Provide support during security incident response activities.
• Assist in gathering initial incident evidence and logs.
• Follow containment, eradication, and recovery procedures (under guidance).
• Contribute to incident documentation.
• Gain familiarity with SOC security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, scanners).
• Assist in basic tool maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of processes and incident handling.
• Assist in generating basic security reports.
• Actively pursue professional development and training.
• Stay updated on threats and security best practices.
• Work effectively as part of the SOC team.
• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
• Follow established communication protocols.
