Job Description

Sole Legal Counsel responsible for managing the company’s local legal function with the support of the regional legal team. Reports to local CEO and Regional General Counsel. 

Duties include: 

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial and other day to day contracts 
• Advising on various legal, regulatory and corporate secretarial matters 
• Management of dispute resolution and debt recovery matters 
• Implementation of policies and processes for legal risk management  
• Conducting of Legal related training and other education for legal risk awareness

Job Requirements

• Malaysia qualified lawyer with 5-8 years post-qualification experience, preferably with in-house experience
• Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial documents and general legal advisory work. 
• Independent, resourceful, pro-active and good commercial mind
• Strong organizational, negotiation, communications and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications 
• Good command of English and Bahasa (Spoken & Written)
