Job Description

  1.  Pre-Contract Management:
    - Assist in preparing cost estimates, tender documentation, and Bills of Quantities (BQ).
    - Conduct material and quantity take-offs from drawings/specifications.
    -Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
    - Participate in tender submissions and bid clarifications.
     
  2. Post-Contract Management:
    -Monitor project costs and prepare cost control reports regularly.
    -Evaluate and verify subcontractor claims, VO (variation orders), and progress payments.
    -Assist in contract administration, including preparation of interim certificates and final accounts.
    -Prepare cost comparison and value engineering proposals.
     
  3. Procurement & Subcontractor Management:
    -Source, evaluate, and recommend subcontractors or suppliers.
    -Prepare Letter of Award, Work Orders, and Subcontract Agreements.
    -Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contract compliance.
     
  4. Reporting & Documentation:
    -Maintain proper records of contract documents, correspondences, and cost reports.
    -Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation.
    -Prepare monthly valuation and progress claim submissions.
     
  5. Liaison & Coordination:
    -Coordinate with the project team, consultants, and clients on commercial matters.
    -Attend site meetings and resolve contractual/cost-related issues.
    -Provide advice on contractual and financial matters throughout the project lifecycle.
     

Job Requirements

  1.  Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or related field.
  2.  fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions.
     
  3. Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., PAM, PWD, FIDIC) is an advantage.
     
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and QS-related software (e.g., CostX, Glodon).
     
  5. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
     
  6. Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
