Job Description

Training & Briefings: Conduct safely inductions for new workers, daily/weekly toolbox meetings, and specialized safety training.

Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractors to ensure they follow the established site safety management system.

Construction Site Quantity Surveyor - Job Responsibilities

Prepare, review and verify quantities, measurements and cost estimates based on construction drawings, specifications and actual site progress.

Prepare and subuit monthly progress claims, variation clains and supporting documents to the client or consullant.

Check and evaluate subcontractors" progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.

Carry out joint site measurements with the client, consultant and subcontractors.

Monitor project costs, committed costs and actual expenditure against the approved budget.

Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.

Identify, record and evaluole variations, additional works and potential claims.

Maintain complete records of site instrictions, variation orders, measurement sheets, delivery onders and supporting documents.

Assist in subcontractor procurement, quotation comparison, tender evaluntion and preparation of subcontract agreements.

Monitor subcontractors' contractual obligations, work progress and payment status.

Review drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies, omissions and cost implications.

Liaise with the project manager, site team, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.

Assist in the preparation and negotiation of final accounts with the client, consultants and subcontractors.

Ensure all claims, payments and commercial documents are submitted within the required contractual timelines.

Support the preparation of extension-of-time and loss-and-expense cinims where applicable.

Maintain accurate project commercial records and ensure proper filing of all OS-related documents.

Allend site, progress and commercial meetings when required.

Ensure all commercial activities comply with the company's procedures, contract requirements and applicable regulations.

Perfonn any other quantity surveying, contractual or cost-control duties assigned by the Project Manager or Commercial Manager.


Job Requirements

Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities and contract documents.

Able to carry out accurate quantity take-off, site measurement and verification of completed works.

Able to prepare monthly progress claims, variation cinims and supporting documentation.

Able to assess and verify subcontractors" progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.

Able to monitor project costs, committed costs, actual espenditure and cost-to-complete.

Able to prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts and project commercial summaries.

Able lo identity additional works, variations, cost implications and potential contractual claims.

Able lo conduct joint measturements and negotiate quantities and rates with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Able lo manage subcontractor procurement, quolation comparison, lender craluation and payment certification.

Able to maintain accurate records of site instructions, meastrement sheets, delivery orders, claims and commercial correspondence.

Good understanding of construction methods, materials, site processes and contractual procedures.

Familiar with relevant construction contracts, payment procedures and variation management.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and quantity take-off software; knowledge of AutoCAD, CostX, Glodon or similar software is an advantage.

Strong numerical, analytical, negotiation and probleni-solving skills

Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet contractual submission deadlines.

Willing and able to work at the construction site and ottend site inspections and commercinl meetings when required.
