Job Description

Financial Management and Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the asset management department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize the performance and value of the company’s assets.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process for the asset management division, including capital expenditure planning.
  • Monitor budgetary performance and implement measures to control costs and improve financial efficiency.
  • Provide financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Investment Analysis and Risk Management:

  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities and asset acquisitions.
  • Assess and manage financial risks associated with the company’s asset portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate asset performance and investment returns.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and financial information.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as required.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team within the asset management department.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters related to asset management.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support long-term planning and growth.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and partners.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within asset management, investment, or a related sector.
  • Experience working with an Audit firm is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Strong background in investment analysis, risk management, and compliance.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience working in an asset management company, particularly in equity trading company is advantageous.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong skills in financial functions and financial modelling.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences, or site visits.
