Candidates should be passionate about student success, demonstrate strong teaching capabilities, and contribute actively to research, administration, and professional development initiatives.</p> </div></div><div class="brxe-block col-8"><h2 class="brxe-heading primary text-m">Key Responsibilities</h2><div class="brxe-text"><p><strong>Teaching &amp; Learning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Undertake teaching and teaching-related duties such as designing, preparing, and developing of teaching materials; conducting classes/lectures, tutorials, and practicals; consulting with students; invigilating, marking, and assessing.</li> <li>Participate and contribute to high-quality programme and curriculum development.</li> <li>Plan and implement teaching strategies to optimise student learning and motivate them.</li> <li>Support in research project work and scholarship of postgraduate students.</li> <li>Establish and maintain high teaching and effective learning standards to meet the University’s teaching and learning expectations.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Research</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participate in scholarly activities, including undertaking research, conference presentations, journal publications and relevant community work.</li> <li>Support efforts to secure grants for research activities and scholarships as a co-researcher.</li> <li>Achieve the specified set of research outcome targets for the Lecturer level of appointment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Administration and Other Activities.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Undertake and contribute to administrative responsibilities such as attending departmental meetings and participating in committees and working groups within the Department, School, and Faculty.</li> <li>Participate in continuous relevant professional activities.</li> <li>Assist in establishing linkages with external organisations/ professional bodies in academic-related matters.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>A PhD in Education, TESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field is preferred.</li> <li>A master’s degree in education, TESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a relevant discipline may be accepted provided the candidate demonstrates strong teaching experience and academic potential.</li> <li>Candidates who possess a PhD or master’s degree in a field unrelated to TESL must have a bachelor’s degree in education.</li> </ul> </div></div><div class="brxe-block col-8"><h2 class="brxe-heading primary text-m">Skills and Experiences</h2><div class="brxe-text"><ul> <li>At least 3 years of teaching experience at a tertiary level is preferred.</li> <li>Experience supervising undergraduate or postgraduate research is an added advantage.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills and Competencies.</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong command of spoken and written English.</li> <li>Ability to integrate technology and learner-centred strategies in teaching.</li> <li>Research skills and familiarity with academic publishing standards.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.</li> </ul> </div></div><a class="brxe-button btn-main bricks-button bricks-background-primary" href="https://boards.briohr.com/mindaglobal-xpbsame68h/details/68886e8fda101f0008a82036" target="_blank">Apply Now</a></p>
