Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Account & Finance Executive to join our finance team in managing the financial operations of our shopping mall. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, budget monitoring, and smooth day-to-day accounting operations while supporting strategic decision-making for mall management and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and internal accounting policies.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide insights for cost control and revenue optimization.

Accounts Receivable & Payable Management

  • Manage the billing and collection process for tenants, ensuring timely invoicing of rental, service charges, and utilities.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.

Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments in accordance with company policy.

Financial Analysis & Advisory

  • Conduct financial analysis on tenant performance, rental yield, and operational costs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for decision-making and financial planning.
  • Support management in business cases for new projects, capital expenditure proposals, and investments.

 Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including taxes (SST, income tax, etc.) and statutory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit and reporting purposes.

Other Responsibilities

  • Mentor and guide junior finance staff or accountants.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Operations, Leasing, and Marketing, to ensure seamless financial processes.
  • Assist in implementing process improvements, automation, and best practices in financial operations.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably a Mandarin speaker.
     
  • Possess relevant qualifications, with at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
     
  • Familiar with and experienced in AutoCount accounting software.
     
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
     
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as an Accounts & Finance Specialist.
     
  • Experience in the shopping mall management industry is an added advantage.
