All about the role:
As a Data Visualization Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in the Quality & Compliance Solutions Team. This team develops IT solutions related to Quality and Product Compliance, which are used globally by thousands of users. In this role you will be reporting to Head of Quality & Compliance Solutions BA EA.
What you'll do:
You will bring a fundamental contribution to designing, implementing and maintaining great solutions using the latest cutting-edge technologies. You will focus on the embedded data reporting layer, transforming datasets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals.
You will support the Business Analysts to identify the requirements related to reporting and AI and then, together with the Solution Architect and Data Architect, you will translate them into technical specifications. You will ensure the quality and adherence to company standards of reports and related data flows, plan tests and deploy the new features across on-premises and Cloud environments. Additionally, you will provide Level 3 support for the data reporting part of the solutions. You will also take care of the “fast lane”, directly fixing urgent bugs and autonomously developing small features and easy changes: this is a role that combines management with hands on operational tasks.
Independence in driving and organizing own work, collaboration and solution-focused mindset are essential for success in this role.
In detail, you will:
Support the Business Analysts for demands related to reporting, data analytics and AI
Provide comprehensive knowledge about the best practices, products and technologies related to reporting, data analytics and AI design, develop and maintain processes
Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.
Transform data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals.
Provide L3 support for reports, dashboards and related dataflows related to the applications in scope for the Team
Monitor the health status of the reporting layer used by the applications in scope, including the related dataflows
Create, maintain and manage the source repositories for reports, dashboards and related dataflows used by the applications in scope
Design and implement bug fixes related to reports, dashboards and related dataflows used by the applications in scope
Design and implement improvements / new small features related to reports, dashboards and related dataflows used by the applications in scope
Manage versioning and perform the new releases deployment related to reports, dashboards and related dataflows used by the applications in scope
Starting with business requirements related to a new report/AI model, define the correct architecture and techniques to implement it
Define the detailed technical specifications for outsourcing and validating the outcome, from a quality perspective, compliance to the Electrolux standards (including cyber security) and business requirements
Design and develop reports required for Proofs of Concepts and for Pilots
Develop mockups of report functionalities to achieve a better understanding for the stakeholders to enable more conscious decisions
Qualifications:
Kindness and respect.
University degree in Electronics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
Proven experience in report design and development using Microsoft PowerBI.
Good knowledge of data structures and ability to understand relational and dimensional databases design and implementation.
Proven experience in designing, implementing and supporting data structures in Microsoft SQL Server (including Analysis Services), PostgreSQL, MySQL.
Experience in converting business problems/challenges to technical solutions considering security, performance & scalability.
Understanding of the importance of governance and security rules when handling data.
Good knowledge of statistics.
Understanding of principles of IT infrastructure configuration.
Willingness to learn the manufacturing business processes.
Problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn by doing
Innovative and with a genuine interest in technology and a pragmatic approach to delivery.
Great communication, coaching and collaboration skills within a multi-cultural environment.
Able and willing to travel as required (less than 10% of the time).
Experience with and competencies in the following areas will be considered an advantage:
Proven experience in developing Machine Learning models
Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, architecture and modules.
AI and ML algorithms, techniques and implementation tools.
Able to program in Python, C#, JAVA, React JS
Practical knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI Report Server, Grafana, Databricks, Apache Superset, Apache Zeppelin, Apache Spark.
Practical experience in manufacturing factories on the shop floor.
