<p><strong>The Account Assistant will support the accounting and finance department by performing a variety of financial tasks, including bookkeeping, maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will ensure that financial transactions are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies and legal regulations.</strong></p>
<p><strong><br></strong><strong><ins>Key Responsibilities<br></ins></strong><br>Bookkeeping and Data Entry:</p>
<ul>
<li>Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers and journals.</li>
<li>Post transactions to accounting software and systems.</li>
</ul>
<p>Account Reconciliation:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.</li>
<li>Ensure that all accounts balance and discrepancies are investigated and resolved.</li>
</ul>
<p>Accounts Payable/Receivable:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with the processing of supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.</li>
<li>Help prepare and send customer invoices and ensure payments are collected on time.</li>
<li>Follow up on outstanding payments and overdue accounts.</li>
</ul>
<p>Financial Reporting:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.</li>
<li>Support in generating balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.</li>
<li>Provide necessary reports for audit purposes.</li>
</ul>
<p>Payroll Support:<br>Assist in preparing payroll by verifying hours worked and ensuring the accurate   calculation of wages.</p>
<ul>
<li>Prepare and submit payroll taxes and related documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p>Administrative Support:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in maintaining financial filing systems, both electronic and paper.</li>
<li>Provide support to senior accountants and finance managers when required.</li>
</ul>
<p>General Office Duties:</p>
<ul>
<li>Respond to accounting-related inquiries from clients, suppliers, and internal departments.</li>
<li>Provide assistance during financial audits and ensure documentation is prepared for the auditors.</li>
</ul>
