Job Description

FUNCTION MANAGER
PLAYA Racquet Club is looking for an energetic and organised Function Manager to lead the planning and execution of events and community activities at the club. If you enjoy bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and managing events from concept to execution, this role offers the opportunity to play a key part in building PLAYA’s vibrant community.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Plan, organise, and oversee events and functions hosted at the club
  • Develop and activate community-driven activities, tournaments, and social gatherings
  • Coordinate event logistics including scheduling, setup, vendors, and staffing
  • Work closely with the operations, marketing, and F&B teams to ensure smooth event execution
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and operational requirements
  • Ensure guests and participants have a positive and engaging experience
  • Identify opportunities to create new events that grow the club’s community and engagement
  • Handle post-event reviews and feedback to improve future functions

Job Requirements

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience in event planning, event coordination, or function management is preferred
  • Highly organised with strong planning and multitasking abilities
  • Energetic, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to remain calm and solutions-focused during live events
  • Passionate about community-building, social experiences, and active lifestyles
  • No specific education background required; hands-on experience and attitude matter more

This position will be entitled to a base pay + commissions
