Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Assist in posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
    • Prepare onboarding documents and support new hire orientation.
       
  • HR Administration
    • Maintain employee records, update HRIS, and ensure confidentiality of all personnel files.
    • Help prepare employment letters, internship agreements, and HR reports.
       
  • Employee Engagement
    • Support planning of staff activities, training sessions, and internal events.
    • Assist in designing employee recognition or wellness initiatives.
       
  • Payroll & Compliance Support
    • Help verify attendance and overtime records for payroll processing.
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with Malaysian labor laws and company policies.
       
  • Ad-hoc Projects
    • Participate in HR projects such as policy reviews, SOP documentation, and process improvements.

Job Requirements

Academic & Educational Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration, 
  • Must be eligible for an internship under a university/college placement program.
  •  Minimum commitment of 3 months; preference for candidates who can intern 3–6 months or longer. 

Technical & Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canva Software.
  • Familiar with HR software (e.g., My Syarikat) is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Malaysia Employment Act 1955, labor laws, or HR compliance matters.
  • Comfortable with data entry, HR reporting, and database management.
  • Basic understanding of payroll processes and time-attendance systems.
  • Ability to create and format HR-related documents, memos, and forms neatly.

 Communication & Language

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Ability to draft professional emails, letters, and internal memos.
  • Confidence to speak to candidates, staff, and management at all levels.
