Job Description

    • Contribute to organisational strategy by advising on HR policies, workforce planning and process improvements aligned with business objectives.

    • Establish and manage department accountabilities across talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, records management, succession planning and employee relations.

    • Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, orientation, performance management, development, disciplinary matters and exit processing.

    • Drive full-cycle recruitment within defined turnaround targets, managing screening, assessments and interviews in parallel to shorten time-to-hire.

    • Build proactive sourcing pipelines beyond inbound applicants and maintain timely communication with candidates and hiring managers.

    • Maintain all employee records and the master database accurately, confidentially and in real time.

    • Champion company culture and morale; engage employees regularly to surface grievances early and communicate management decisions transparently.

    • Manage the HR department budget, including forecasting, resource allocation and variance analysis.

    • Lead cross-functional HR projects, coordinating priorities, timelines and stakeholder requirements to deliver results.

    • Implement task tracking with deadlines, owners and status visibility. Monitor delegated work closely and escalate blockers to ensure pending tasks and key HR timelines are met without proactively.

    • Lead the HR team with discipline and consistency; the department should operate independently with minimal management follow-up.

    • Advise management on HR matters and develop, update and enforce company policies, procedures and guidelines.

    • Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment legislation (Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967) and all statutory requirements.

    • Prepare and issue all formal HR correspondence (offer letters, confirmations, demand letters, payment in lieu) with accuracy.

    • Manage the company's HRDF account, coordinating training and development programmes. Plan company events with sufficient lead time and organised execution

    • Handle general administrative and employee welfare needs.


Job Requirements

    • Minimum 4 years of experience in the HR field with at least 2 years of experience leading a team.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Management or equivalent.

    • Conversant with Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967.

    • Strong leadership skills to cultivate a strong culture within the team and company

    • Ability to manage tasks efficiently, and able to delegate tasks to achieve company goals.

    • Able to speak clearly, confidently, and negotiate effectively.

    • Proactive in communication and excellent in verbal and written English.

    • Possess strong emotional intelligence.

    • Possess solid networking and persuasive skills.

    • Possess a strong work ethic and is able to keep sensitive information confidential.

    • Meticulous, systematic, and organized in recording and filing information

    • Willing to go the extra mile when it counts, whether it's rallying the team for a last-minute event or ensuring urgent matters are seen through.
