<p><strong>Accounting Assistant – Job Description For Construction &amp; Development</strong></p>
<p><strong>Primary Role:</strong><br>To support the accounts department with daily financial tasks, ensuring records are accurate, updated, and properly filed.</p>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Assist in data entry for invoices, bills, receipts, and payments.</li>
<li>Prepare and update account ledgers and financial records.</li>
<li>Check and verify supplier invoices before processing.</li>
<li>Prepare payment vouchers and supporting documents.</li>
<li>Assist with monthly closing tasks (e.g., bank reconciliation, aging reports).</li>
<li>Follow up with suppliers or customers on outstanding documents or payments.</li>
<li>Maintain proper filing of finance documents (soft copy &amp; hard copy).</li>
<li>Assist in preparing simple reports for management.</li>
<li>Support the accounts team with any other related administrative duties.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Minimum SPM / Diploma in Accounting or related field.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of accounting principles.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount).</li>
<li>Good attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Able to work independently and meet deadlines.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Preferred Skills (optional):</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in handling AP/AR tasks.</li>
<li>Ability to work well with the team.</li>
</ul>
