Job Description

Accounting Assistant – Job Description For Construction & Development

Primary Role:
To support the accounts department with daily financial tasks, ensuring records are accurate, updated, and properly filed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data entry for invoices, bills, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare and update account ledgers and financial records.
  • Check and verify supplier invoices before processing.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and supporting documents.
  • Assist with monthly closing tasks (e.g., bank reconciliation, aging reports).
  • Follow up with suppliers or customers on outstanding documents or payments.
  • Maintain proper filing of finance documents (soft copy & hard copy).
  • Assist in preparing simple reports for management.
  • Support the accounts team with any other related administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Minimum SPM / Diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount).
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills (optional):

  • Experience in handling AP/AR tasks.
  • Ability to work well with the team.
