Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist in developing space planning layouts, concept schemes, and design presentations for office and commercial fit out projects.
- Produce and update AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and detail drawings.
- Support the preparation of material boards, finish schedules, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment) specifications.
- Assist in 3D visualisation and rendering using SketchUp, Enscape, or similar tools to communicate design intent to clients.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers under the supervision of a senior designer.
- Attend site visits to monitor progress, take measurements, and document site conditions.
- Assist in preparing tender and construction documentation packages.
Job Requirements
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
- Proficient in AutoCAD — you can produce clean, coordinated drawings independently.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp; experience with Enscape, V-Ray, or Lumion is a plus.
- Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign for presentation layout and mood board preparation.
- Strong spatial awareness and an eye for material, proportion, and detail.
- Organised and thorough — commercial projects involve a lot of documentation and you take that seriously.
- Communicates clearly in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
