 Sous Chef— Kopenhagen Coffee

📍 Based in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As the Sous Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes. This position is ideal for a culinary professional who is passionate about food, leadership, and creating exceptional dining experiences.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate kitchen operations and managing the culinary team.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring high productivity and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Prepare, cook, and plate dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu standards.
  • Menu planning, development, and execution of special events.
  • Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and organized, managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Monitor food quality and portion control to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and all equipment in compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in scheduling kitchen staff and managing the daily workflow.

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to quality.
