Job Description

 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operational Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Food & Beverage outlet. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and team performance.

The Operational Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, coordinating between kitchen and service teams, managing manpower, and resolving operational challenges. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced F&B environment.

As our customer base includes a significant number of Mandarin-speaking customers, proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to ensure effective communication, smooth service delivery, and better customer satisfaction. Candidates who are not fluent in Mandarin may face communication challenges when handling customer interactions, feedback, and operational matters involving Mandarin-speaking guests.

The successful candidate will work closely with management to improve operational efficiency, uphold service standards, and support the overall growth of the business.


Job Requirements

 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations or restaurant management
     
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate teams
     
  • Good understanding of daily F&B operations, service flow, and kitchen coordination
     
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and operational SOPs
     
  • Ability to manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and daily task delegation
     
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
     
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
     
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is preferred, as a large portion of customers from China are Mandarin-speaking and effective communication is essential to minimise language barriers
     
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
