The incumbent will be responsible for growing our market share with the digital players viz. shared economy/ platform aggregators, ecommerce players, neo and digital banks, FinTechs and other emerging players in the internet economy. The role requires an experienced business development professional with experience and ability of driving large, complex partnerships working with cross functional teams. This role has been recently placed under the Customer Solution Center (CSC), which is a new structure which is designed to enable Mastercard to develop better solutions &amp; bundles for prioritized customer segments in markets. It is the customer facing housing for all Mastercard capabilities, and it aims to drive Mastercard growth, influence and revenue by creating and selling compelling data-driven, scalable needs-based solutions to new and existing customers by tapping Mastercard’s extensive toolbox of product and service offerings. This role reports to the SVP, Customer Solutions Center for SEA. Key Responsibilities • Grow Mastercard relative market share in the digital payments across all channels using our omnidirectional multi rails. • Support the regional Digital and emerging partnerships team in developing the strategy for the partnerships with digital merchants and will carry the responsibility of its execution in the SEA markets. • Continuous evaluation of the market landscape to identify strategic partnership opportunities in the region in consultation with the country leadership. • Deepen the existing partnership with some of the global and regional market leaders of the internet economy by supporting them in their growth, leveraging the Mastercard capabilities in product and services. • Provide leadership to the account management team in servicing the existing customer’s strategic priorities and liaise with Mastercard product and delivery organizations to provide bespoke solutions and services to our marque clients. This entails strong understanding of • Maintain our leadership position in the neobanks/ digibanks in the region. • Drive the digital acceptance footprint of Mastercard both offline and online and works closely with wallets to collaborate in joining our global network. • Grow our relative market share in all the markets especially with the digital merchants and FinTechs and bring the FinTechs and new age payment solutions providers on to our multi rail which enables omnidirectional payments flows via Scheme, Real time payments, QR, Digital wallets et.al. • Sets sales strategy and account planning aligned with geography and segments to support our leadership position with the digital partners in the SEA region. It entails extensive business development with the existing partners and also identifying early on the emerging winners in the market. • Develops and presents financial modeling and business cases for development opportunities • Negotiates, executes and manages the customer contract agreement process. • Evaluates and enhances the deal process to deliver efficiencies and improved success rates • Establishes, enhances, and maintains relationships with government, regulatory, and industry bodies • Formally supervises and coaches several groups/teams, or other Leaders/ Consultants and influences how the function is structured • Ensures the function's compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process • Helps identify, coach and groom top talent and pro-actively develops employees as organizational resources All About You • Work experience of over 12- 15 years with the last five years managing multi geography cross functional teams. • Experience in and sound understanding of the digital payment landscape; shared economy and ecommerce ecosystem would be an added advantage • Prior experience in the payments, schemes and/ or technology companies is desirable. • Extensive experience with business development strategy and execution in complex and international countries/regions • Extensive track record achieving business development targets and building business relationships through customer sales • Experience supervising, developing and coaching business development teams to serve complex countries/regions • Demonstrated success in introducing existing and new/emerging solutions into various MasterCard countries/regions and driving increased penetration with clients<h3 aria-hidden="true"></h3><h3 aria-hidden="true"></h3>Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:<ul><li>Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices;</li><li>Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed;</li><li>Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and</li><li>Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.</li></ul>
