Responsibilities
*Attend the site of loss to gather evidence and assess the damage
*Interview the policyholder and witnesses to validate the claim
*Consult third-party experts such as forensic scientists, consulting engineers or building surveyors to determine the cause of a loss and extent of damage
*Advise insurance companies and policyholders about repair issues
*Write reports for insurance companies including recommending appropriate settlements
*Negotiate and resolve claim disputes
*Advise policyholders and insurance companies on precautionary measures to reduce the risk of further losses in future.
Requirements
*A diploma or degree in any discipline
*A degree in laws or engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Quantity Survey) or knowledge of insurance would be an added advantage
*Strong written and communication skills in English
*Positive attitude
