Job Description

  • Clean and service guest rooms daily in accordance with the hotel’s cleanliness and presentation standards. 
  • Make beds, change bed linens, pillowcases, and replace towels and bathroom amenities. 
  • Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, and floors. 
  • Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust guest rooms, corridors, and assigned work areas. 
  • Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, drinking water, coffee/tea amenities, and other guest items. 
  • Ensure all room furniture, fixtures, and equipment are clean and in good condition. 
  • Report any maintenance issues, damaged items, or lost and found items to the supervisor immediately. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping pantry, trolley, linen room, and cleaning equipment. 
  • Attend promptly to guest requests, such as extra towels, pillows, or other housekeeping-related needs. 
  • Ensure public areas and back-of-house work areas assigned are kept clean and tidy at all times. 
  • Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and service standards in carrying out daily duties. 
  • Assist with ad-hoc cleaning tasks, deep cleaning, and special assignments as directed by the supervisor. 

Job Requirements

 

  • Candidate must possess at least SPM, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or related field
  • Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in the Housekeeping Department or related field
  • Good command of written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with guests, peers, and superiors. 
  • Friendly personality with strong self-motivation and self-discipline. 
  • Basic knowledge in preparing and interpreting housekeeping reports. 
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Preferably local candidates.
