Food Preparation:
Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, dicing, marinating, and assembling
ingredients as per recipes or instructions from senior chefs.
Prepare garnishes, side dishes, and salads.
Measure and mix ingredients according to standardized recipes.
Cooking:
Cook food items as directed by senior chefs, following recipes, portion control guidelines, and
presentation standards.
Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., stoves, grills, ovens) safely and efficiently.
Monitor food quality during cooking to ensure it meets the desired standards of taste and
presentation.
Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools.
Assist in the washing and cleaning of cooking equipment and kitchen surfaces.
Adhere to proper food storage procedures and handle ingredients appropriately to avoid
contamination.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by following cleaning schedules and proper
disposal of waste.
Adhere to health and safety regulations regarding food handling, storage, and kitchen cleanliness.
Assisting with Menu Preparation:
Help the lead cook in preparing daily specials and seasonal dishes.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of food for events, banquets, or special occasions.
Inventory Management:
Assist in tracking inventory levels and help ensure the availability of ingredients for meal
preparation.
Report any shortages or supplies needed to the senior cook or kitchen manager.
-Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution.
-License/Certification: Food Handling (Preferred)
-Computer literacy skills – Intermediate Excel, Word
-Hands-on experience as creating menu from scratch
-Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
-Previous experience as a kitchen assistant, line cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
-Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and basic kitchen operations.
-Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
-Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
-Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
-Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and
