Job Summary

The M&E Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical and electrical systems in construction projects. This includes coordination drawings, as-built documentation, and ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings for M&E systems using BIM software. Assist technical and tender team to prepare M&E tender drawings.
• Interpret and translate engineers’ sketches and specifications into accurate drafts.
• Produce coordination drawings, sections, elevations, and detailed layouts.
• Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and capture as-built conditions.
• Update and maintain drawing registers and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other draughtsman to ensure design accuracy.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Assist in resolving design conflicts and participate in coordination meetings.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• 2 - 3 years of experience in BIM Modeller or similar role
• Proficient in BIM software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, etc.) is required.
• Proficiency in preparing modelling drawing for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is highly preferred (Ansys® Spaceclaim, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Possess own transport and valid driving license for site visits.
