Job Summary
The Senior Account &amp; Finance Executive oversees the company's end-to-end financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and accountability across all financial activities. This role safeguards TudungPeople's financial integrity through disciplined control, timely reporting, and audit readiness — serving as the backbone of sound governance and fiscal discipline. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organised, and demonstrates strong analytical and leadership capabilities, with hands-on experience in Malaysia's accounting and tax compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Responsibility 1: Financial Management &amp; Reporting</li>
<ul>
<li>Oversee monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reports to ensure compliance with Malaysia Private Entities Reporting Standard (MPERS).</li>
<li>Ensure all financial documents, receipts, and proof of payment are properly filed and audit-ready.</li>
<li>Ensure timely month-end closing, reconciliations, and accurate record-keeping.</li>
</ul>
<li>Responsibility 2: Cash Flow Management &amp; Reporting</li>
<ul>
<li>Monitor company cash position to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.</li>
<li>Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring prompt collections and settlements.</li>
<li>Track capital expenditures and monitor financial health indicators.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate payment schedules for payroll, rental, and other obligations.</li>
<li>Process, initiate, and facilitate payment requests across multiple departments adhering strictly to established procedures and approval hierarchies.</li>
</ul>
<li>Responsibility 3: Compliance &amp; Internal Control</li>
<ul>
<li>Ensure compliance with statutory timelines for audit, tax filing, and other obligations.</li>
<li>Maintain all company statutory records in accordance with the Companies Act 2016.</li>
<li>Implement and review internal control procedures (inclusive of cash handling policy, petty cash policy, and inventory management).</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with e-invoicing requirements under LHDN regulations.</li>
<li>Recommend improvements to financial workflows, cost structures, and internal efficiency.</li>
<li>Ensure all financial and payroll data are maintained as confidential and secured.</li>
</ul>
<li>Responsibility 4: Audit &amp; Tax Compliance</li>
<ul>
<li>Liaise with external auditors and tax agents to facilitate timely completion of audits and tax filings</li>
<li>Prepare and review supporting documentation for audit purposes.</li>
<li>Address audit findings and implement corrective measures where necessary.</li>
</ul>
<li>Responsibility 5: Leadership &amp; Departmental Support</li>
<ul>
<li>- Supervise and review the work of Account Executives.</li>
<li>- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to ensure team productivity and accuracy.</li>
<li>- Collaborate with management on operational finance matters requiring clarification or policy alignment.</li>
</ul>
