Job Description

  1. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, quality engineers, and production personnel, to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery of products.
  3. Lead and participate in process improvement projects, utilizing Lean Manufacturing methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve productivity, and enhance product quality.
  4. Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
  6. Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  7. Train and mentor junior manufacturing engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing technology, processes, and industry best practices, and implement relevant changes to improve manufacturing processes.
  9. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality materials and components, and resolve any supplier-related issues that may affect production.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements

<Qualification>

  1. Bachelor's degree in Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. .
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a senior or leadership position.
  3. Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence.
  4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, practices, and standards.
  5. Experience in a Material manufacturing industry, such as composite, paint is and added advantage.
  6. Certification in Lean manufacturing is a plus.

<Skills>

  1. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and inspection.
  2. Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools, such as planning software, statistical analysis software, and simulation tools.
  3. Experience implementing process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions.
  5. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  6. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects to meet objectives and timelines.
  9. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to manufacturing processes.
  10. Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing resource planning.
