Job Description

Job Summary:

The Credit Controller is responsible for managing the company’s credit policies, monitoring outstanding payments, and ensuring the timely collection of accounts receivable. This role supports the Finance Department to maintain healthy cash flow, reduce credit risks, and provide accurate credit-related reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review & assess customer credit applications, including performing credit checks and evaluating risk.
  • Set and monitor customer credit limits in line with company credit policies.
  • Track daily Accounts Receivable (AR) ageing and ensure timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
  • Contact customers via calls, emails, and reminders to secure payment collection.
  • Work with Sales & Operations to resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and collection issues.
  • Verify invoices, DOs, SOs, and related documents before issuing to customers.
  • Monitor post-dated cheques, payment receipts, and ensure proper allocation.
  • Recommend actions for high-risk accounts (credit hold, payment plans, legal escalation).
  • Prepare weekly & monthly AR/collection reports for management.
  • Support month-end closing activities and ensure accurate AR records.
  • Maintain proper documentation & uphold credit policies and internal controls.

Job Requirements

 Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Credit Control / Accounts Receivable.
  • Proficient in SQL Accounting System 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for dealing with customers.
  • Good understanding of credit processes, AR workflows, and financial documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
  • Detail-oriented, disciplined, honest, and able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is required to meet business requirements
