Job Description

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
     
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment for local roles including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
       
    • Maintain recruitment databases and candidate pipelines.
       
  • HR Operations:
     
    • Handle employee records, contracts, and HR documentation in compliance with Malaysian labor laws.
       
    • Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
       
    • Administer leave, attendance, and HR system data entry.
       
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration:
     
    • Coordinate monthly payroll processing with finance and external vendors.
       
    • Manage employee benefits programs, claims, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).
       
  • Compliance & Policy Support:
     
    • Ensure company HR policies and practices comply with Malaysian employment laws.
       
    • Assist with audits and regulatory submissions as needed.
       
  • Employee Engagement & Culture:
     
    • Support employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and team events.
       
    • Foster a positive work culture aligned with PalFish’s values.
       
  • Cross-Border HR Coordination:
     
    • Communicate regularly with Mandarin-speaking teams at HQ for alignment on HR policies, reporting, and shared services.
       
    • Translate HR documents and act as a language bridge when needed.
       

Job Requirements

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
     
  • 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally in a tech or fast-paced company.
     
  • Experience handling multi-national teams or regional HR coordination is an advantage.
     

Skills & Competencies:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) — required for daily communication with HQ.
     
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices.
     
  • Familiar with HR software (e.g., Excel, HRIS platforms like Kakitangan, Swingvy, or others).
     
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
     
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
