Job Description

Duration: 3–6 months (Immediate Intake)

As a Community Engagement Intern, gain hands-on experience in how social enterprises scale their impact through community building. You will support the team in executing initiatives that keep our volunteers inspired, active, and connected.

Community Engagement

  • Campaign Support: Help plan and execute initiatives designed to grow our volunteer pool and deepen member retention.
  • Events & Outreach: Assist in coordinating volunteer programmes, partner engagement sessions, and external events.
  • Storytelling: Collaborate with the Marketing/PR team to draft newsletters, social media content, and forum updates that highlight community impact.

Operations & Community Management

  • Onboarding: Support the end-to-end journey of a volunteer, from initial recruitment to mission management.
  • Communication: Serve as a bridge between EPIC and our community by responding to inquiries on WhatsApp, social media, email, and the Sedunia platform.
  • Database Management: Maintain the community database and tracking key performance metrics.
  • Process Improvement: Help develop onboarding materials and guidelines to make our community operations more scalable.

Training & Development

  • Improve Training Materials: Assist in updating, adapting and improving training materials
  • Coordinate Training Events:

Cross-Functional Support

  • Assist the team with project tracking, reporting, and administrative tasks.
  • Prepare presentation decks and communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a relevant academic program (e.g., business, nonprofit management, communications, multimedia, education).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and proficient in conducting research and analysis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Has own laptop.
  • Has own transportation.
  • Able to attend work in office from Monday - Thursday, with WFH on Fridays.
