<div class="vc_empty_space" style="height: 30px"> </div> <h1 class="mb-30">Senior Analyst, PSC &amp; JV Reporting</h1>Posted On: May 23, 2025 Location: Kuala Lumpur Job Function: Finance &amp; Accounting Employment Type: Permanent The Senior Analyst, PSC &amp; JV Reporting reports directly to the Manager, PSC &amp; JV Reporting and responsible: <ul> <li>In providing accurate and ongoing cost control function for Asset expenditure, cost monitoring and reporting for all functional group within Hibiscus Malaysia company.</li> <li>Works closely with other teams within Finance and BU department to support all reporting requirements for PSC and HQ Corp submission..</li> </ul> &nbsp; KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES <ul> <li>Monitor timely issuance of Service Receipts by producing periodic reports to Cost Controllers prior to the month end closing activities.</li> <li>Provide reports to the Cost controllers on actual costs booked in the financial system to help them in preparing the monthly manual accrual.</li> <li>Compile for management reporting justifications from Cost Controllers and user on aging accruals and action plans to resolve issues preventing timely issuance of Service Receipts.</li> <li>Ensure all month end closing activities and finance closing are properly compiled timely which includes identifying wrong coding of GL account and analysis codes and timely perform correct reclassification of accounts and analysis codes, raising journal entries and posting to the financial system.</li> <li>Lead and coordinate monthly manual accruals exercise for OPEX, CAPEX and G&amp;A. Issue communications to user and Cost Controllers on their manual accrual submission details (timeline and forex) and prepare accruals template.</li> <li>Prepare and analyse monthly accrual OPEX, CAPEX, G&amp;A timely to be presented with respective Heads of Department and get CEO’s approval.</li> <li>Provide month and Year-To-Date actual data to Asset Controls for cost monitoring and preparation of variance analysis.</li> <li>Conduct training for Engineers on Accruals prior to the Year End Financial closing to refresh them on the importance of proper and accurate accruals for the Year End.</li> <li>Educate business users on the financial and non-financial impacts of over and under accruals in the company’s financial books.</li> <li>Prepare presentation deck for Audit Kick Off meeting for Host Government and Partners audit.</li> <li>Participate in ad hoc financial activities such as audit of Assets operated by other partners and annual inventory counts.</li> <li>Work closely with Asset Control team to ensure the integrity of accruals, and actual numbers in systems.</li> <li>Coordinate with Cost Controllers and user to attend any related audit queries arising from PSC Audit, Internal Audit, Joint Venture Audits, Production Handling Agreement (PHA) and External Audits for user department.</li> <li>Maintenance of OPEX Tool used in monthly reviews with the BU and ensure all documentation produced is properly retained and auditable.</li> </ul> &nbsp; REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS <ul> <li>Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in finance/ accounting/ quantity surveying/ Cost Engineering/ Engineering or related educational background from accredited universities or academic institutions.</li> <li>Possess ten (10) to fifteen (15) years’ of working experience as cost controller in oil and gas upstream operations or minimum 5 years of combined experience in finance and accounting, quantity surveyor and cost control type background in the industry.</li> <li>Experience in managing and administrating capital budgets and expenditures for offshore oil and gas capital development projects, inclusive of monitoring and forecasting progress and performance of multiple major contractors.</li> <li>Experience in preparation of annual budget, WP&amp;B, internal budget reforecast, generation of AFE and ABR, handling of queries from JV Partners, PETRONAS and Auditors</li> </ul> &nbsp; <a href="/submit-your-resume?position-name=Senior Analyst, PSC &amp; JV Reporting" target="_self" style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-color: rgb(233, 38, 42);" class="qode-btn qode-btn-medium qode-btn-solid qode-btn-custom-hover-bg qode-btn-custom-hover-color qode-btn-default-hover" data-hover-bg-color="#ffffff" data-hover-color="#e9262a"> Apply Now </a> <div class="vc_empty_space" style="height: 30px"> </div>
