Position Overview

The Senior Executive, Accounts will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting management with financial insights. The candidate will be responsible for full-spectrum accounting functions, financial reporting, and supporting operational finance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Handle a full set of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure timely month-end closing and submission of financial statements.
• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., MFRS).

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Track budget vs. actual performance and highlight variances to management.
• Support management with financial analysis for business planning and decision making.

Operational Finance Support

• Manage vendor and customer accounts, credit control, and payment cycles.
• Ensure proper documentation, invoicing, claims, and financial SOP compliance.
• Support financial processes for project costing, maintenance contracts, and procurement.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure financial practices comply with statutory and internal requirements. 
• Strengthen internal controls and recommend process improvements.
• Monitor GST/SST submissions and liaise with authorities when required.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

• Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
   
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in project-based or service-oriented industries.
   
• Experience with full set of accounts is required.
   

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements.
   
• Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., SQL, Autocount, Xero, or similar).
   
• Good command of Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlookup, basic analysis).
   
• Knowledge of cost accounting or project accounting is an added advantage.
