Role Overview:
We are seeking a high-calibre, SaaS-savvy Finance Manager to lead our finance function across Malaysia and Singapore. This is not a traditional accounting role, you will act as a strategic finance partner, driving insights, supporting decision-making, and shaping the company’s growth trajectory.

You will own financial operations, SaaS metrics reporting, forecasting, and investor communications. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-scaling environment and wants to play a key role in building a regional EdTech leader.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Operations &amp; Month-End Closing
<ul>
<li>Perform full monthly closing for Malaysia (HQ) and Singapore (subsidiary).</li>
<li>Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with local standards.</li>
<li>Manage general ledger, revenue recognition, accruals, deferred income, and cost allocations.</li>
<li>Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries.</li>
<li>Maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance frameworks.</li>
</ul>
2. SaaS Metrics, Analytics &amp; Insights
<ul>
<li>You are expected to have strong command of SaaS financial and operational metrics, including:</li>
<li>MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue)/ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) movements and cohort trends.</li>
<li>Churn and retention analysis.</li>
<li>LTV, CAC, and CAC payback period</li>
<li>Gross margin and contribution margin.</li>
<li>Rule of 40 performance.</li>
<li>Expansion revenue and Net Revenue Retention (NRR).</li>
<li>AR aging and cash collection efficiency.</li>
<li>Subscription-based revenue recognition.</li>
<li>Translate financial data into actionable business insights.</li>
<li>Identify churn risks, pricing opportunities, and margin improvements.</li>
<li>Partner with the CEO to prepare investor-ready SaaS performance decks.</li>
</ul>
3. FP&amp;A, Budgeting &amp; Forecasting
<ul>
<li>Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.</li>
<li>Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts (cash flow, burn rate, runway).</li>
<li>Build and maintain financial models for growth scenarios and unit economics.</li>
</ul>
4. Strategic Finance &amp; Business Partnering
<ul>
<li>Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team.</li>
<li>Evaluate ROI of new initiatives, markets, and product launches.</li>
<li>Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor engagements.</li>
<li>Benchmark company performance against SaaS industry standards.</li>
</ul>
5. Investor Reporting &amp; Board Updates
<ul>
<li>Prepare clear, concise, investor-grade reports and presentations.</li>
<li>Highlight KPIs, variances, forecasts, and key insights.</li>
<li>Support monthly and quarterly investor communications.</li>
<li>Simplify complex financial data into compelling narratives.</li>
</ul>
