Job Description

A leading biomedical manufacturing company specializing in the production of medical devices and components, including implantable biomaterials and other life-supporting devices. The company operates in a controlled cleanroom environment and adheres to international standards such as ISO 13485, CE Mark, and Medical Device Authority (MDA) regulations.

Position Summary

The Production Technician plays a key hands-on role in the manufacturing of medical devices, ensuring that all processes are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with strict quality and regulatory requirements.
This role involves operating equipment, performing assembly tasks, maintaining cleanroom discipline, and ensuring product quality throughout production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily production activities in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Operate and monitor manufacturing machines and equipment, ensuring correct setup, calibration, and smooth operation.
  • Perform manual assembly, molding, cutting, bonding, or finishing processes as required by product specifications.
  • Handle medical-grade materials and components in compliance with cleanroom and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to verify dimensions, appearance, and functional parameters of products.
  • Identify and report any process deviation, equipment malfunction, or non-conformance to supervisors immediately.
  • Record production data, such as quantities, batch numbers, and inspection results, in the appropriate forms or system.
  • Assist in machine cleaning, preventive maintenance, and equipment changeover between batches.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices within the production and cleanroom area.
  • Adhere to cleanroom protocols — gowning, hygiene control, and environmental monitoring.
  • Work collaboratively with QC, R&D, and Engineering teams to support smooth production flow.

Job Requirements

  • Certificate / Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in production or manufacturing, preferably in medical devices, electronics, or precision engineering environment.
  • Fresh graduates or trainees with strong discipline and willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 / GMP / cleanroom operations is an added advantage.
  • Able to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and product drawings.
  • Detail-oriented, careful, and disciplined — capable of working with small and delicate components.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in a cleanroom (controlled environment).
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as required by production schedule.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
