Job Description

• Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
• Conduct regular stock audits, update inventory records, and reconcile discrepancies in stock counts.
• Collaborate with the Material Officer to monitor material usage and initiate stock replenishment orders when necessary.
• Ensure materials are organized by type, and easily accessible for internal teams or project use.
• Lead, train, and supervise the store team, ensuring effective material handling and high operational efficiency.
• Oversee the timely and accurate issuance of materials to internal departments, project teams, or external clients as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation for material movements and ensure that materials are released according to established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ensuring safe material handling and storage practices.
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free store environment.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the Material Officer on inventory levels, material usage, and store performance.
• Assist the Material Officer in identifying inventory trends, shortages, or overstocking issues and proposing corrective actions.
• Work closely with the Material Officer to ensure material orders are placed in a timely manner to avoid stockouts.
• Monitor stock levels, manage reorder points, and ensure efficient inventory turnover.
• Optimize the use of storage space to ensure efficient material storage and handling.
• Assist the Material Officer in addressing any material-related issues raised by other teams or departments.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in a materials management, inventory, or store leadership role (preferred).
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse procedures.
• Basic understanding of material handling equipment and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, while coordinating with the Material Officer.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
