Role Overview
The Sustainability Officer will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability and ESG initiatives across the Group. This role involves data collection, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and supporting continuous improvement in sustainability performance — ensuring alignment with international standards, regulations, and the company’s long-term ESG goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing sustainability policies, frameworks, and initiatives.
- Support the preparation of ESG disclosures and sustainability reports in accordance with frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, and UN SDGs.
- Conduct data collection, verification, and analysis related to environmental performance (energy, carbon, water, and waste).
- Coordinate with internal departments on sustainability targets and performance tracking.
- Support CSR and community engagement programmes.
- Assist in renewable energy and green finance project documentation, including sustainability-linked reports.
- Keep abreast of sustainability trends, best practices, and regulatory updates in Malaysia and ASEAN.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability reporting, or corporate responsibility.
- Strong understanding of sustainability standards and ESG frameworks.
- Analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
