Job Requirements

Mortgage Must-Dos: Responsibilities at a Glance

  • Collating all applicant documentation to ensure applications meet established time frames
  • Gathering and renaming supporting documents for loans in designated cloud drive & CRM, and ensuring they meet aggregator and lender compliance requirements
  • Preparing serviceability calculators for clients by interpreting financial data
  • Requesting pricing discounts and negotiating strong offers by providing competing bank offers
  • Ordering property valuations
  • Preparing loan lodgements
  • Preparing RP data searches and property reports
  • Performing data validations
  • Running files through the compliance checklist
  • Adhering to strict timeframes and deadlines when preparing loan applications
  • Collecting information from lenders for existing clients and preparing a database
  • Timely follow up with lenders, and key stakeholders. Good record keeping habits on the file update as required.
  • Bank statements and living expenses analysis for applicants
  • Familiarity in generating credit reports and reviewing them, addressing items of concern
  • Verifying potentially fraudulent items, such as conflicting addresses, and flagging them to the broker
  • Researching lender offerings and preparing product comparison reports
  • Generate and identify compliance requirements in the CRM and completing data entry requirements required for lodgement
  • Preparing outstandings for the lenders and various stakeholders to get the file approved, and be prepared for settlement
  • Familiarity with pre-lodgement, lodgement preparation, approval, pre-settlement and post-settlement tasks, or can follow a template to complete tasks
  • Managing and assisting existing clients with requests (e.g., repricing, refixing loans, loan variations)
  • Ad-Hoc projects, help setting up process guide/system and automation upgrade projects, training of junior mortgage broking assistants and loan processors (when required).

Loan Processing:

  • Chasing lenders for status updates and keeping the broker and applicant informed
  • Chasing valuation status update
  • Handling administration and fielding calls from applicants, responding to email/email management for the group and personal mailbox
  • Preparing post-settlement activities
  • Handling any rework
  • Booking appointments and managing calendars and travel schedules
  • Providing marketing, sales, and operational support (when required)
  • Keying information into the broker CRM and keeping records up to date
  • Attaching scanned files to CRM records
  • Assisting with lead generation, marketing, sales, and operational tasks (when required)

Other requirements:

  • Australian mortgage industry direct experience preferred but not essential.
  • Non graduate with relevant experience may apply.
  • This role might entail Australian working hours and Australian working days.
  • First 3 months on probation will be on contract role, after which an opportunity to convert to permament full time position.
  • Strong Clear English written and communication skills required, knowing how to speak Mandarin is a plus
  • Merticulous, responsible, good time management, multi-tasking, fast learner and attention to details attributes are highly regarded
