About the Role

If you’re passionate about 小红书 (XHS), enjoy creating visually appealing content, and want hands-on experience in a fast-growing beauty e-commerce brand, Lips Carpenter could be the perfect place for you.

Lips Carpenter is a local clean beauty brand specialising in personalised, artisan beauty products. As an intern, you’ll work closely with the founders and marketing team to grow our presence on XHS, with a strong focus on aesthetics, storytelling, and content that feels on-brand.

This role is ideal for someone who understands XHS content culture, has a good eye for design and visuals, and wants to turn content into real brand and sales impact.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and execute XHS-focused content calendars, aligned with brand and campaign goals
• Create visually appealing XHS content, including: 
• Writing captions in Chinese
• Editing videos (e.g. CapCut/剪映)
• Designing layouts, visuals, and tones that fit the brand’s aesthetic
• Take photos and short videos with a good sense of composition, lighting, and styling 
• Research XHS trends, formats, and visual styles that perform well, and test them consistently
• Manage XHS KOL / KOC outreach and affiliate initiatives 
• Get involved in other marketing or brand initiatives
• Support basic design work such as creating posters, banners, and visual assets for campaigns and events

Job Requirements

Who We’re Looking For

• Chinese-savvy (able to write, read, and think in Chinese confidently)
• Actively uses 小红书 (XHS) and understands what kind of content performs well
• Enjoys creating content — especially short-form videos and lifestyle-style posts 
• Experience editing videos using tools like CapCut
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Photoshop / Illustrator/Canva) is a plus!
• Self-driven, curious, and willing to experiment and learn
• Comfortable working independently, with guidance when needed
• Interested in clean, personalised beauty brands
