Key skills and competencies we’re looking for: 
Role Specific: 
  • You’re personable, and able to build and maintain relationships with our key partners by consistently being an effective communicator and presenter, and able to build rapport/credibility early in a relationship.
  • You have a basic understanding of channel management and how distributor and retail relationships work.
  • You have some basic exposure to International markets, culture, mindset, and way of life (you can put yourself in their shoes)
  • You have a sales oriented mindset, and able to approach it systematically
  • You’re an analytical and strategic thinker. You can draw insights and conclusions from pulling together disparate data.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to:
  • Spearhead Market Expansion: Actively identify, research, and evaluate high-potential distributors in untapped and emerging markets, assessing their capability to drive Lumos's growth.
  • Forge Powerful Partnerships: Initiate contact and compellingly present the Lumos vision and value proposition to prospective distributors, rigorously qualifying them against our strategic partnership criteria.
  • Seal the Deal: Lead contract negotiations with qualified prospects, successfully onboarding them as official Lumos distributors to expand our global footprint.
  • Drive & Track Success: Establish and meticulously manage a robust sales pipeline and reporting system. You'll track progress towards ambitious sales targets, proactively identifying and strategizing for new territory expansion if current markets require bolstering.
  • Ensure Partner Success: Oversee the seamless onboarding of new distributors, collaborating closely with Account Managers. You'll monitor and evaluate their performance during the initial 6-12 months to cultivate strong, fruitful, and long-term partnerships.
  • Mastermind Territory Strategy: Develop, refine, and execute targeted strategies for your primary territories. You'll also contribute your expertise by advising on and helping design effective market approach strategies for other regions.
  • Become a Lumos Globetrotter: Get ready to pack your bags! This exciting role requires regular travel to key markets across Europe, and potentially further afield, as you build relationships and drive our B2B channel growth.

Job Requirements

 We are looking for someone who has:
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a B2B sales growth role, such as Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or a similar position.
  • Proven and substantial experience in B2B channel management, including developing, managing, and expanding relationships with distributors, resellers, or other B2B partners to drive sales growth.
  • A strong interest, familiarity, or experience in cycling is a major plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Competency with Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Slack or other similar platforms for team communication.
