Job Description

   

  1. Warehouse
  • Supervise and manage daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory control and dispatching of goods.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage inventory using FIFO or JIT and ensure stock accuracy.
  • Monitor stock expiry and collaborate with Purchasing and Sales to ensure sufficient stock and zero expired stock.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
  1. Logistics
  • Oversee logistics and transportation activities, including coordinating with external carriers and managing shipping schedules.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with logistics providers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery items.
  1. Team Leadership
  • Lead, train and develop warehouse and logistics staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment and ensure team members are motivated and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management and logistics, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and leading warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders including suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software SAP/ERP.
