Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen operations. The successful candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
   
• Help with plating and assembling dishes as directed by the chef
   
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
   
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
   
• Ensure proper storage of food items according to hygiene standards
   
• Dispose of waste correctly and keep work areas tidy
   
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations at all times
   
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods

Job Requirements

Requirements and Skills

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is an advantage but not required
   
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety
   
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
   
• Good teamwork and communication skills
   
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
   
• Willingness to learn and take instructions
