About the Internship

Join Prima Avenue, a growing real estate and community hub in Cyberjaya, as part of our digital transformation journey.

We are looking for an Engineering & Tech Developer Intern who is passionate about designing and implementing practical engineering and digital solutions, automation tools, data systems, and smart technologies that enhance operational efficiency in a commercial real estate environment while supporting sustainability, resource optimisation, and ESG initiatives across our properties and facilities.

This internship is ideal for students who enjoy solving real business problems using technology. You will gain hands-on exposure to automation, system integration, data analytics, smart-building support, and sustainability-related digital projects within a real estate environment.

You will also have the opportunity to support community and ESG activities in Cyberjaya, helping Prima Avenue align technology with meaningful social and environmental impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and support digital tools, workflow automations, engineering documentation systems, and internal applications to improve business and facility operations.
  • Assist in monitoring, coordinating, and maintaining Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building services infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain workflow automation using Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 tools, and other relevant platforms to streamline engineering and operational processes.
  • Assist in integrating data from multiple sources, including building management systems (BMS), IoT devices, email, SharePoint, ERP/CRM systems, spreadsheets, databases, and other business applications.
  • Support data analytics, engineering data analysis, dashboards, and reporting initiatives for property operations, asset management, M&E performance monitoring, predictive maintenance, energy consumption analysis, and ESG tracking.
  • Analyze engineering and operational data to identify trends, equipment performance issues, maintenance opportunities, process improvements, and energy efficiency enhancements.
  • Assist in developing simple web-based, mobile, or low-code/no-code solutions to support engineering, maintenance, and internal operational activities.
  • Participate in site inspections, preventive maintenance planning, contractor coordination, and technical assessments related to building facilities and infrastructure.
  • Implement proper exception handling, logging, documentation, audit trails, and engineering records to improve process reliability and compliance.
  • Create templates, user guides, technical documentation, and basic governance materials for automation workflows, engineering processes, and digital tools.
  • Track automation outcomes, maintenance performance indicators, process improvements, energy efficiency initiatives, time savings, and ROI metrics.
  • Support smart-building, sustainability, energy management, and community-based ESG initiatives, including data collection, digital reporting, and public engagement activities in Cyberjaya.
  • Work with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to understand operational and engineering challenges and propose practical technical solutions.

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in:

    • or other related fields.
  • Basic knowledge or interest in software development, automation, data analytics, system integration, or digital tools.
  • Familiarity with any of the following will be an added advantage:

    • Energy monitoring and energy efficiency solutions
    • Sustainability reporting, ESG data management, or carbon tracking tools

  • Good communication skills and able to work collaboratively with different departments.
  • Interested in real estate, smart buildings, sustainability, ESG, or community-based technology projects.
  • Willing to travel locally when required.
